Protest against the decision of Andhra Govt to demolish Hindu temple, and for insulting freedom fighter Jhansi Rani Lakshmi Bai in CBSE 5th standard text books

On August 4th 2013 (sunday), Sanathan Samstha Udupi, Hindu Janajagruti Samithi Udupi organised a protest near Service bus stand in Udupi district of Karnataka against the foolish decision of Andhra Pradesh Government to demolish ISKON Temple along with 200 years old Sri Ganesh temple, Hanuman Temple, Dattatreya temple in order to make comfortable for the METRO RAIL PROJECT.

Another issue for today's protest was CBSE 5th standard text book in which freedom fighter Jhansi Rani Lakshmi Bai was insulted by projecting herself along with a HOOKAH in her hand and the same book in which a ordinary politician Rahul Gandhi was projected as a MAHATHMA by praising him in the same text book to change the mindset of young children..
Protest started at exact 11am in the morning with a prayer to seek blessings of Lord Krishna.. Later the various slogans were raised by the people who gathered with a great enthusiasm among them were "Bolo Bharath Matha Ki Jai" "Hindu Devasthana nasha maduva Andhra Sarakarakke dhikkara" "Jhansi Rani yannu avamana madida CBSE samitige dhikkara".. Many of them who addressed the gathering stressed the need of uniting ourselves in order to courageously face the challenge given by anti-Hindu, anti-patriotic elements..

The significant part of the day was the heavy rain which was coming from morning stopped at 10:30a.m and again started at 12:45p.m.. The entire protest was under the hotsun.. This itself is a answer to the people who shout that "There is no God"..

Tomorrow (August 5th 2013), the leaders will submit a memo with the thousands of signatures collected in various parts of Udupi district to the President of India through Udupi DC.
